PRESS RELEASE - Florianópolis, SC, Brazil — Young Brazilian athlete Sarah Posenatto, from Joinville, SC, began the 2026 season in outstanding fashion by capturing the gold medal yesterday at the Floripa Kids International, a tournament organized by the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) and widely regarded as one of the most important youth Jiu-Jitsu competitions in the world.
With this victory, Sarah reaches an impressive milestone: seven International Kids titles, further solidifying her status as one of the top rising stars of the next generation of Jiu-Jitsu.
Her road to gold was marked by a dominant performance. Sarah competed four weight categories above her own, accumulated 17 points throughout the tournament, and secured multiple submission victories, showcasing exceptional technical skill, physical preparation, and competitive maturity well beyond her age.
“Starting the year like this is incredibly special. Today I won my 7th International Kids title. This competition opens the season and reminds me why I train every day: to learn, improve, and give my best, on and off the mat. Every medal carries effort, discipline, and the people who walk this journey with me. The year is just beginning… and I’m staying focused,” said Sarah.

The Floripa Kids International traditionally serves as an early-season benchmark, bringing together high-level athletes from across Brazil and around the world. This win reinforces the strong momentum Sarah has been building through consistent results and steady progression.
With an impressive record of more than 70 official titles, growing presence on social media, and a profile that combines athletic excellence with strong educational values, Sarah also enters the season following her recent World Champion title earned in Abu Dhabi at the end of last year, one of the sport’s most prestigious stages.
More than just medals, Sarah Posenatto represents a new generation of athletes who see sport as a tool for personal growth, character development, and positive impact. Her performance both on and off the mats has made her a role model for children and teenagers who dream of building a path grounded in discipline, dedication, and perseverance.
